Bijna alles tegenwoordig lijkt wel fake: overmatig bewerkt of in scene gezet. Op Instagram en Pinterest lijkt alles perfect en zorgvuldig op elkaar afgestemd; ik vraag me af waarom. Ik hou van het echte leven. Van de rauwe eerlijkheid. Van snottebellen en warme knuffels en van de hele dag in je pyjama. Van je huis vol speelgoed en stapels ongevouwen was. Want het geluk zit niet in perfectie, maar het geluk zit in de liefde. De liefde die je deelt in de alledaagse werkelijkheid, die vind ik het allermooist.
Een familiedocumentaire is een vorm van storytelling, of documentaire fotografie. Er wordt niet geposeerd, ik geef je geen aanwijzingen en we gaan niet met meubels schuiven. Ik fotografeer wat ik zie, kleine momenten, grote momenten, geluk en soms verdriet. Verwacht geen familieportret, maar eerder de beelden die het verhaal van jouw familie vertellen.
Voor de familiedocumentaire kun je kiezen uit twee pakketten: het meestgekozen pakket is “day in the life”, waarbij ik een hele dag met je meeloop. Deze dag begint voordat jullie aan de ontbijttafel gaan en eindigt als de kinderen naar bed zijn (meestal ongeveer van 07.00 tot 20.00 uur). Het tweede pakket is een soort light versie van “day in the life”. Dit pakket omvat ongeveer 5 uur fotografie en kan elk willekeurig dagdeel plaatsvinden.

Alles is liefde. En de liefde mag gevierd worden, zoals alle mooie dingen in het leven! Wil jij jouw liefde door mij laten vastleggen? Het enige wat je hoeft te doen, is genieten van elkaar en van jullie samenzijn. Een loveshoot kan met z’n tweetjes, bijvoorbeeld jij en je partner, maar kan ook met je gezin zijn, of juist alleen je kinderen. Een loveshoot bij mij is ongedwongen en ongeposeerd, ik fotografeer wat er gebeurt.
Een loveshoot duurt maximaal 2 uur (meestal iets korter), en kan bij je thuis, maar nog fijner is het als we lekker de natuur in gaan. Het bos in, de hei op of naar het strand.
special events
Soms vinden er bijzondere gebeurtenissen plaats in je leven. Momenten die je wil koesteren, en wil vastleggen voor later. Voorbeelden hiervan zijn een kraamfeest, een familieweekend, of een afscheid van een ernstig zieke dierbare. Met veel liefde kijk ik samen met jou naar de mogelijkheden voor een fotoshoot op maat.

family documentary
Almost everything these days seems to be fake: either overedited or simply staged. On Instagram and Pinterest everything looks perfect and carefully put together; I wonder why. I thoroughly enjoy the real life. The raw honesty of it. From the wet kisses and the warm hugs to spending the weekend in your pajamas. The toys everywhere and the piles of laundry. For happiness can not be found in perfection, but happiness can be found in love. The love we share in the everyday life is the most beautiful to me.
A family documentary is a form of storytelling, or documentary photography. There will be no posing or directing and yes, the furniture will stay in its place. I photograph what I see, small moments, big moments, moments of laughter and moments of tears, whatever happens. Don’t expect a family portrait, but rather the images that tell the story of your family. For the family documentary you can choose from two packages: the most popular is the “day in the life” package, which consists of a full day of photography. We start before breakfast and end after the kids go to bed (roughly 7 a.m. till 8 p.m.). The second option is a light version of day in the life, and consists of roughly 5 hours of photography.

Love is everything, and it should be celebrated, as all good things in life! I would be honored to document the love you share, all you have to do is celebrate the moment and enjoy each other’s company. A love shoot can be just the two of you, but it could also include your kids, or even just the kids. A love shoot with me is laid-back and candid: I’m just there to document your gorgeousness!
A love shoot lasts no longer than 2 hours (a bit shorter most of the times) and can be in your home, but is even better when we have the chance to go out into nature. Into the woods or off to the beach, wherever you feel happy.
